It was at a time when this, socially, educationally and economically backward area needed an uplift, Late Sri A.N.Neelakantan Namboodiri, approached the Government and got sanction for a UP school in the year 1952. The present Sree Krishna High School (Aided), started as an Upper Primary School in 1953, was upgraded as High School in the year 1982. The LP section was sanctioned in 1962. The present Manager of the school is Smt. Leela Antharjanam and the Headmaster is Sri. T.L.Kunjuvarried. This academic year, namely 2006-07, the School has  19 divisions in LP, 22 divisions in UP and 24 divisions in HS section, totaling  65 divisions, 2896 students  and  95 staff members. The school has both English and Malayalam Medium parallel divisions in all the classes. An English Medium Nursery School is run by the management.  The campus is spread over  an area of about 3.25 acres of land. SSLC results every year used to be of high percentage, which in some years were 100 percent, with Ranks.
